State of Oregon Captiol Building

The Health & Human Services Committees were full of agency updates during the May 2016 Legislative Days. The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) presented on a range of issues, from the current 1115 waiver application to the status of the health insurance marketplace. The Department of Human Services (DHS) provided an update on the agency’s work to improve the child  welfare system, including recent management changes under now-permanent Director Saiki. House Human Services & Housing had a very comprehensive panel on housing affordability and factors that drive home prices – we will hopefully have some of these speakers at a future AOC Housing Subcommittee meeting.
