Hood River County Sheriff Matt English was elected president of the Oregon State Sheriffs Association at their annual meeting in December.  English has served the Hood River County Sheriff’s Office since 2000 and was a Hood River County parole and probation officer before becoming a deputy sheriff.  He was elected sheriff in 2012. Clackamas County Sheriff Craig Roberts was elected vice-president and Umatilla County Sheriff Terry Rowan was elected secretary.  Marion County Sheriff Jason Myers will continue as the sheriffs’ representative to the AOC Board of Directors and Legislative Committee.

Baker County District Attorney Matt Shirtcliff was elected president of the Oregon District Attorneys Association.  Shirtcliff began with the Baker County District Attorney’s Office in 1994 after graduating from Gonzaga Law School.  He was elected district attorney in 2001.  Multnomah County District Attorney Rod Underhill was elected first vice-president, Jackson County District Attorney Beth Heckert was elected second vice-president, and Linn County District Attorney Doug Marteeny was elected Secretary/Treasurer.  Yamhill County District Attorney Brad Berry will continue as the district attorneys’ representative to the AOC Board of Directors and Legislative Committee.

Grant County Justice of the Peace Kathy Stinnett was elected president of the Oregon Justices of the Peace Association.

Marion County Sheriff’s Office Commander Jeff Wood was elected president of the Oregon Association of Community Corrections Directors.  Klamath County Community Corrections Director Kiki Parker-Rose was elected vice-president.  Jackson County Community Corrections Director Eric Guyer was elected secretary.  Umatilla County Community Corrections Director Dale Primmer was elected treasurer.

Jackson County Juvenile Director Joe Ferguson was elected president of the Oregon Juvenile Department Directors Association.  Josephine County Juvenile Director James Goodwin was elected president-elect.  Crook County Juvenile Director Debra Patterson was elected treasurer.

Marion County Emergency Manager Ed Flick was elected president of the Oregon Emergency Management Association.  Kelly Piper from Umpqua Bank was elected vice president.

Central Lane 9-1-1 Operations Manager Marie Longworth was elected president of the Oregon Association of Public Safety Communications Officers.  Mark Chandler from Washington County Consolidated Communications was elected vice president.  Cathy Orcutt from Linn County Communications was elected second vice-president.
