Do you want to reduce stormwater runoff from your county’s roads and parking lots, preventing flooding and improving the health of your local rivers, lakes and streams? Check out the new step-by-step guide for counties and cities: Low Impact Development in Western Oregon: A Practical Guide for Watershed Health.

This customizable manual is designed for small and mid-sized local jurisdictions and provides guidance in designing, constructing and maintaining greener stormwater facilities. Jurisdictions can easily adapt the manual for local conditions by plugging in the appropriate design for their climate and geology and selecting which practices are most suitable.

Developed in partnership with several counties, cities and other public and private entities, the guide was produced by Oregon Environmental Council and lives on Oregon Department of Environmental Quality’s website.
