Natural Resources Conservation Service

Ron Alvarado, State Conservationist for the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) joined the Natural Resources Policy Steering Committee on May 14 for AOC Day in Salem. Ron outlined the strategy and programs that have become a familiar and valuable part of life in rural Oregon. U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has begun focusing its efforts around regional projects, and have sponsored water and air quality, drought, organic and landscape restoration initiative throughout Oregon. NRCS has field offices in almost every county. Ron wants to hear from County Commissioners!
