On Monday, March 27, 2017, the Senate Business and Transportation Committee held a public hearing on Senate Bill 867, which would establish a task force to study the maritime sector in Oregon for workforce development purposes. The bill, crafted by AOC for the Oregon Coastal Zone Management Association (OCZMA), is viewed as a vital first step toward getting workforce development resources directed to this large and important economic sector in our state.
