Public Safety Subcommittee on Resilience

Snow plowing a road in a forested area.

Oregon’s resilience is frequently challenged by disasters. From flooding to wildfires, active shooters to earthquakes, our diverse state must be prepared for myriad threats. The members of the Association of Oregon Counties are uniquely situated to address the three legs of the resilience stool: prepare, survive and recover. The AOC Public Safety Subcommittee on Resilience will be a convening and problem-solving entity dedicated to the improvement of community and personal resilience in Oregon.

Co-Chairs:
Commissioner Lianne Thompson, Clatsop County
Judge Steve Shaffer, Gilliam County
