The Vera Institute of Justice is accepting applications for its Status Offense Reform Center Policy Academy to be held on November 17-18, 2016, in Connecticut. The focus of the event, supported by the MacArthur Foundation, is to help states improve their responses to status offenses and reduce the number of youth entering the juvenile justice system because of status offenses. All states are invited to apply by August 22.
States selected to attend can apply in the fall for the Vera Institute of Justice’s technical assistance on local status offense reform beginning in early 2017. Apply online for the Status Offense Reform Center Policy Academy.
