Ways and Means Co-Chairs Release Balanced Budget Proposal

Last week, Ways and Means Co-Chairs released their balanced budget proposal. This plan sets out a multi-biennial vision, and lays out the policy framework for this session’s work on the 2019-21 biennium budget. Co-chairs Senators Johnson and Steiner Hayward, and Rep. Rayfield have also set the course for their Subcommittee Chairs. Except for the State School Fund (K-12), all Subcommittee Chairs must reduce budgets below current service levels.
