WOTUS Comments Due April 15

Comments on the Trump Administration’s proposed new “Waters of the United States” (WOTUS) rule are due April 15.

What would the Proposed Rule Change do?

The proposed WOTUS rule defines which bodies are subject to federal regulations under the Clean Water Act .

What’s the Impact to Counties?

The proposed rule may have an impact on county-owned infrastructure and local waterways, such as roads and roadside ditches, drainage and irrigation conveyances, flood control channels, bridge construction and rehabilitation projects, and stormwater and wastewater facilities.

How can Counties Make a Difference?

Submit a comment. Comments can be submitted through the Federal Rulemaking Portal by identifying Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OW-2018-0149.
