Join the Oregon Scenic Bikeways Program on May 3 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Oregon Capitol Galleria to celebrate a decade of bike routes in Oregon. The event is free and open to the public, and will include refreshments, speakers, and the release of the new scenic bikeways map.

The Scenic Bikeways Program, created in 2009, showcases Oregon’s beauty, history, and local communities with paths along roads, state parks, mountains, deserts, and more. There are 17 Scenic Bikeways currently designated in Oregon.

This unique program is the first of its kind in the United States. Scenic Bikeways are nominated by local communities, vetted by statewide advisory group, and selected by Oregon State Parks.

View the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department press release, or the Scenic Bikeways webpage for more information.
