More than 100 participants gathered in Roseburg for the 25th annual OACES Skills Demonstration and Safety Conference. This multi-day event featured varied presentations on Ancient techniques for modern roads, Pre-Trip Inspection Review, Smart Chip Sealing, Roller Training, and training for classes in the Technology Transfer Center (T2) Roads Scholar program. A highlight of this event is the Skills Competition where this year 85 participants from 18 cities, counties, and state agencies competed over 6 events to determine winners in individual categories and one overall “Top Gun” winner with the best overall performances.
