National Association of Counties (NACo) in collaboration with and Georgetown University’s Center for Juvenile Justice Reform (CJJR) have created the School-Justice Partnerships and Diversion Pathways Certificate Program. The program, developed for NACo members, is designed to engage a group of counties (regional teams of up to seven counties) in each state in creating a better system of care for at-risk youth by coordinating with school and law enforcement.

Participants will learn how to support safe learning environments by examining exclusionary disciplinary policies, building cross-system partnerships, school-based diversion programs, trauma-informed classrooms, the role of school resource officers, and disrupting school-justice pathways for youth with behavioral health needs.

The program is scheduled for September 23 to September 27, 2019.

If you wish to participate, submit your application by May 24.
