AOC Task Force approves prioritization list for courthouse projects.

Commissioner George Murdock and Commissioner Earl Fisher chaired the AOC Court Facilities Task Force over the past several months, which has been meeting to prioritize courthouse improvement projects and replacement needs.

The task force finalized its list Monday and recommendations will go to the May meeting of the AOC Legislative Committee.

Replacement projects were submitted by Clackamas County, Hood River County, Lane County, Multnomah County, Sherman County, and Tillamook County.  These projects qualify for the state’s bond funding match program.

Improvement projects were submitted by 17 counties totaling $20,042,000.00.  Counties submitting improvement projects for consideration, including: Benton, Clatsop, Columbia, Curry, Deschutes, Douglas, Grant, Jackson, Klamath, Lake, Linn, Malheur, Morrow, Polk, Wallowa, Wasco, and Wheeler.

AOC will continue to work with the Oregon Judicial Department as it submits its budget requests to the Legislature for funding in the 2017 session.
