Regional Implementation Councils created by the Justice Reinvestment Act will meet around the state in May

House Bill 3194 from the 2013 legislative session – the Justice Reinvestment Act – created regional implementation councils (RICs) for groups of local counties to collaborate on public safety issues relating to justice reinvestment programs. The RICs have been meeting around the state over the past two years to discuss reentry and recidivism reduction programs, along with statewide prison use data.

The next round of RICs will meet:

  • Central/Eastern Region – Wheeler County – Monday, May 2 from 1-3 pm
    Jeanne E. Burch Building (aka Family Services Building) – 401 Fourth Street Fossil OR
  • Southwest Region – Josephine County – Wednesday, May 4 from 1-3 pm
    The Marie Hill Conference Room at Community Corrections – 510 NW 4th Street Grants Pass OR
  • Northwest/Coastal Region – Linn County – Thursday, May 5 from 1-3 pm
