Oregon’s third biennial United for Justice lobby day will take place on May 2. Join partners across Oregon in advocating for Justice Reinvestment Initiative (JRI) program funding. Since 2013, JRI  funding has been remarkably successful and enabled the state to avoid significant new general fund and capital investments to expand Oregon Department of Corrections prison capacity.

Association of Oregon Counties (AOC)  supports maintaining current service level funding at $50 million for JRI in the 2019-2021 biennium.

The United for Justice Lobby Day will include briefings and legislative meetings and in the past has drawn many advocates including county commissioners, law enforcement, district attorneys, formerly incarcerated people, crime survivor advocates, business leaders, and treatment providers to share why Justice Reinvestment is important for communities.

Please register here by April 30.
