The Red Cross Cascades Region thanks all the elected leaders who have reached out with questions, concerns, unmet needs, and information about underserved communities. The Red Cross welcomes and appreciates the opportunity to work together. Every disaster is unique, and no individual organization can manage it alone. The Red Cross Cascades Region is honored to work alongside counties and community partners closely in the days ahead to guide decisions that are best for all. The Red Cross will continue working with partners to provide sheltering and meals in all communities affected by the wildfires in Oregon—this includes services to those in Recreational Vehicles, campers, and others remaining in similar vehicles outdoors. The Red Cross will also be distributing Wildfire Kits and Clean up kits that include items residents will need when they return to their homes.
