The League of Oregon Cities (LOC), the Oregon Housing and Community Services Department (OHCS) and the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and  Development (DLCD) are joining AOC to present eight housing workshops across the state over the next two months. Workshops will be tailored to identify needs and interests of each region and will focus on accomplishing two goals:

  1.  Convene key leaders and partners to begin to identity specific, local needs for technical assistance related to housing; and
  2. Assess the key resources needed to support ongoing local collaborative problem solving approaches related to housing.

Along with a region-specific program, there will also be a resource fair open during each workshop to put attendees in touch with partners and tools that can assist with housing development. Using the information collected before and during the workshop, LOC, AOC, DLCD and OHCS will be creating a new technical assistance opportunity to provide direct community support. These workshops will be used to facilitate conversations between counties and cities to identify areas for future efforts and policy issues needing statewide solutions. Below are the workshop dates and locations. Each workshop will run from 9 a.m.—3:30 p.m.
