The Oregon Association of County Engineers and Surveyors will be providing another in its series of chip seal workshops. This is a continuation of the OACES series of workshops previously hosted by Marion County in 2011, 2013, and 2016.
These workshops provide a forum for peer presentations to discuss different agency approaches to chip seals. They allow agencies to share what’s working and what’s not working in their pavement management programs, to share ideas, and to provide technical education.
Although some vendors will be invited to offer a presentation, the primary goal of these workshops is to allow agencies to share what they’re doing. Please consider providing a presentation on what your agency is doing with its chip seal program. To see past presentations and to review past surveys, click the link below:
We are targeting Tuesday, December 10th, 2019. This year’s workshop will be hosted by Linn County and held at the Linn County Fair and Exposition Center. This is located immediately off Interstate Five at exit 234, in Albany, Oregon. The event is tentatively expected to run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A catered lunch will be provided.
Please contact Kevin Hamilton at Linn County if you’re interested in attending this workshop. This is not an RSVP, but we’d like to have an idea of attendance so we can plan accordingly. We will circulate a request for RSVP at a later date.
Please indicate if you’ve got a project, a particular technique, or some other topic relating to chip seals for which you’d be willing to offer a presentation.
