The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is pleased to announce that it is now accepting Connect Oregon grant applications! ODOT has set up a convenient online application form where users can save progress as they go. The application can be accessed on the program website. Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to read through the application instructions and instructions for reviewers documents before they submit their applications. All submissions are time-stamped and must be received by 5:00 pm (PST) on October 29.

Approximately $46 million is available for aviation, marine, and rail capital improvements projects. Public transportation and pedestrian/bicycle projects had been previously eligible but have been shifted to other grant programs.

Information about the Connect Oregon program, including timelines, application questions, and more, is available on the program website.

For questions, please contact John Boren, Freight Program manager, at 503-986-3703 or John.Boren@odot.state.or.us.

Multimodal investments are a key part of ODOT’s Strategic Action Plan, which lays out priorities and goals for the next several years. These include reducing congestion in the Portland area and reducing transportation’s carbon footprint — both of which are supported by the Connect Oregon program.
