The 2022 Legislative Session came to a close on Friday, March 4, after 32 days of advocacy, public hearings, and floor sessions.

With the help of county commissioners, judges, chairs, and staff, and the work of the Association of Oregon Counties (AOC) legislative affairs team, AOC secured meaningful policy solutions on pressing issues and protected counties from proposals that would have had a negative impact on county functions and services.

AOC staff built on and expanded relationships with key legislators and teed up conversations and opportunities for the 2023 Legislative Session.

“In this expedited legislative session, AOC and our members were able to make significant strides on policy issues and funding needs critical to counties,” said AOC Legislative Affairs Director, Mallorie Roberts.
