The Association of Oregon Counties (AOC) and the League of Oregon Cities (LOC), hosted a question and answer session with the Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) on the most recent heat and smoke rules.

The heat rules became effective June 15, 2022 and the smoke rules take effect July 1, 2022. Both apply to all employers, public and private, regardless of size, and require access to shade and water; paid breaks; and new exposure assessments, plans, and training for all employees. A summary of the rules can be found here.

Slides from the presentation are available here and a recording of the presentation can be viewed via this YouTube link.
